PALM SUNDAY
Palm Sunday
Despite of not being a catholic this made a difference. Carrying those palm leaves was the order of the day, how could I not enjoy the moment? Having not done it since I was born, it was amazing, soo sweet shaking those leaves all the way singing those sweet catholic songs, starting the procession outside the church moving one by one inside singing the sweet hymns. I really can not forget the 'mateso' , meaning suffering, reading which attracted my attention keenly as the whole story of jesus was being narrated in form of a song. Maybe if it was to be acted I could take the role of Jesus and be the saviour.

After a long moment of silence, padre proceeded with the mass, I could enjoy that accent of the meru people or let us call them Merians. Despite of being away in Italy he still could not betray his mother tongue, though it was sweet I still could not comprehend why he was not using some Italian words. I really needed that for my friends back home, as it could earn some 'respect' from the villagers by which I can't tell why......

After the mass, still holding my palm leaves which were to remain my all time memories, padre concluded with these words which left us all in a dilemma,
GO WITH THE MASS, THE PEACE IS ENDED.
Maybe u can try to figure out what he meant by that as we used to hear him tell us to go in peace the mass was ended.
But all in all the day was colourful and memorable because at last I could hold those leaves which I grew up thinking only vehicles could hang them on their side mirrors to advertise the palm sunday.
