The man who was to marry Juliet was too old for her. Her father was after the old man's riches. Juliet tried to talk to her mother about it but she couldn't do anything because her father was very harsh.

Her father and other village elders met and they planned a day for the bride price. Juliet could not stand it anymore. Early that morning, she escaped, she wanted to throw herself in a river but she was saved by a young lady who was passing by. The lady took her to her house. Juliet explained everything to her. The lady felt sorry for her and she decided to help her to the university.
