Looking at the definition of gambling there are possibilities that gambling can be a productive source of income and can work as an investment platform. For instance, the stock market often utilizes analytic strategies that take risks and gain profits.
Therefore what is the impact of gambling on mental health?
1. It increases focus and mental alertness

Gambling involves strategies and tricks. Moderate gamblers tend to take time to apply these strategies and even develop more strategies. He also takes his time to learn new skills that could help to win the game.
2. Leads to Depression

An addicted gambler spends a lot more money than he should on gambling. Most times, this causes such a person to lose a lot of money which further results in depression. The gambler loses a lot of money or may even run into debt. It could lead to severe emotional and physical breakdowns.
3. Loss of interest in other activities
Gamblers tend to become obsessed with the process of gambling and become oblivious to all other things. This makes the gambler looks interested in all other things. This can lead to a breakdown in relationships d careers.
Gambling although has a negative impact it also plays a role in our day-to-day life. The negative impacts are often associated with the deterioration of systems. But it also has a positive impact negated by the losses established. We choose to agree that gambling is a part of our lives and the only difference in its consequences is the impact on our lives.
