Tips on how to take alcohol and its risks.
I once considered home a living hell. This was due to lack of peace, stressful moments that my father took us through after spending a whole afternoon taking these cheap alcoholic drinks sold in the village. At first I never judged him until it reached a point where he even fought my mother over meaningless issues. Since then, my best enemy I consider it as alcohol.

I was thinking of writing about tips on how to take alcohol responsibly but once I remember about my experiences, I even advice on not taking alcohol at all.

Have you ever thought about the risks related to alcohol intake? Of course not if you still go buying and taking these lethal drinks. Lets look at some of their risks and after that you will have to decide on what way to go.

SHORT TERM HEALTH RISKS
These are the immediate effects that occur as a result of binge drinking. Some are;
• Injuries such as motor vehicle accidents, falls and burns.
• Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disoder(FASDs) among pregnant mothers.
• Risky sexual behaviours like unprotected sex and unwanted pregnancies as well as contraction of sexually transmitted diseases.
• Miscarriages and stillbirths.

LONG TERM HEALTH RISKS
Over time binge, excessive and irresponsible alcohol intake leads to many health issues like;
• High blood pressure and heart problems.
• Social problems that includes family separation, poor interpersonal relationships and unemployment.
• Mental problems like depression, alcohol withdrawal, drug induced psychosis and anxiety.
• Alcohol use disorders and dependence.
• Memory and learning problems including dementia and poor performance.
• Cancer of different parts of the body like liver, colon, stomach and throat
ETC.

According to 2020-2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommends that adults of legal drinking age can choose not to drink or drink in moderation by limiting intake to 2 drinks or less in a day for men and 1 drink or less in a day for women.

According to me, if possible, not taking alcohol at all, is the best way to go.

Currently irresponsible alcohol intake is the root cause of everyday breakups and family dissociation.

Moreover by not taking alcohol you can reduce all those long and short term effects on health.
