# Write what inspires you.

Before you start writing, ask yourself below questions;

- What drives you?

- What’s your passion?

- What is your strength?

- What do you stand for?

- If you were a reader what would you like to read about?

After you have found all answers to the above questions, I believe you will have found your path and start writing about that. Your passion will carry you when the writing becomes difficult and if you’re doing it right, it always does.

# Establish a writing routine and stick to it.

When I started my journey, after some days I found it really hard and I did not enjoy it anymore. After a couple of weeks I decided to research how to be persistent, and the best thing I learned is having a writing routine. Since then, I treat my writing schedule like it’s a job. You’ll be astonished at what you can get done when you plant yourself in your chair for a specific period every day or a specific day according to your plan.

# Become an avid reader.

Writers are readers. Good writers are good readers. Great writers are great readers. There is no shortcut to that, read and research as much as you can.

# Write.

Dreamers talk about writing. Writers write. Keep writing even when you don’t feel like it. And don’t expect to be good at it at first. You were bad at walking until you learned to walk, bad at riding a bike until you learned how, Allow yourself room to grow without any critics.

Lastly, the best way to fail at being a writer is to spend all your time proving you know what you’re doing rather than learning from the people and resources around you. Stop posturing, start practicing and have fun writing.
